Deborah and Larry just completed an emergency trip to California. Two brothers-
in-law were hospitalized with life-threatening issues. We thought it important to inform
our partner about what has occupied our attention for the last month.

Deborah’s sister Phyllis was happily married to Marvin Olin for 59 years. He had
a degree from the University of Los Angelous. Marvin spent time in real estate and
investing in the stock market. He was especially talented. They had one daughter,
Janessa, and two grandchildren, Katie and Jack. Marvin was 83 years of age. The last
couple of years, he bravely fought cancer. On March 3rd, 2026, he died of related
causes. Phyllis is demonstrating great strength and faith in her Lord. She is part of a
large women’s Bible study at a Merced Church. The family is genuinely in our prayers!

Larry’s sister, LaVona, also lost her husband, Marlon John Whittemore, on
February 15, 2026, just 16 days earlier than Marvin. He was “78”. John (as he was
commonly known) was a successful cattle buyer for most of his life. Prior to that, John
and Larry both worked construction in San Diego, CA. The two families attended the
same church. Later, both families moved to Gustine, CA, where Larry and John worked
together at Mininger’s Manufacturing Co. John and Larry were the best of friends, and
there is no end to their funny stories. Larry said, “This loss hit closer to home than most
I can remember.” John and Larry have been the closest friends for the past 59 years. Our prayers are with LaVona and the family: “Comfort, strengthen, and supply the helpneeded for his sister who is blind. Thank you, Lord Jesus!”

Thank you for your continued partnership with our mission.

Deborah and I know that many of you pray for us regularly. We are also aware
that prayers in the Spirit spill over to include our family, loved ones, and ministry (Rom.
8:26-28). Thank you for such a vital investment in our lives. We humbly ask that it
continue. Blessings to all, Larry and Deborah!
